Storage guide: Top 10 Questions
Our units range from 5×5 (25 square feet) to 20×50 (1,000 square feet) and are at least 8 feet high. They are sized in 5’ increments: 5×5, 5×10, etc. We have everything you need from storing a few boxes out of your garage to moving a 6-bedroom house to storing your warehouse or business equipment. We also rent RVs spaces, which are in high demand due to the high level of security and low pricing.
We do not rent trucks, but we welcome moving trucks up to 26 feet (nose to tail) and under 8,000 pounds. We want your move to go smoothly, so please let us know if you have any special needs.
Yes! We have a plethora of boxes, packing material, tape, mattress covers, shrink wrap, and even some trailer light adapters.
For your safety, you provide your own lock. We suggest keeping a copy of your key in a safe place in case you lose it, and make sure a trusted person (and only a trusted person) knows the location of the spare. We recommend using disc locks only because they can’t be broken with bolt cutters.
Our normal access hours are 7 AM – 7 PM. This is to provide the highest level of safety possible for you. At another facility with longer access hours, an inebriated driver entering late at night did serious damage to the other customers’ units! Our job is to protect you.
You can access your unit at Mike’s any day of the week, even on holidays. We can also expand hours for business owners needing broader access and for special needs such as moving in or out.
The office may be closed on holidays, but that doesn’t prevent you from accessing your unit during your normal access hours. And, we provide a way for you to get help for urgent needs even if we’re closed.
We have an onsite manager to keep an eye on alarms or any unusual/illegal activity.
We are located at 2130 N. Granada Drive in Madera, CA between Cleveland Avenue and Avenue 16. The VFW is our next-door neighbor. Give us a call at 559-661-4100.
Onsite cameras: Each door is monitored 24/7 by state-of-the-art security cameras with digital zoom. Other site locations are also monitored.
Individual Unit and access codes: Each renter has an individual code that will disarm their unit only. If anybody ever gets in without a code and tries to open somebody else’s unit, they will set off the alarm. Our cameras also cover both gates so that anybody entering or exiting can easily be identified.
Daily security runs: Our staff drives around the entire property several times a day to inspect the units, locks, and visitors. We also drive around neighboring spaces looking for any suspicious activity or vandalism.
Lighting: Our facility is well-lit inside and out. Lights high above the RV parking flood the yard with light, and we do light runs once a week at night to make sure all our lights are working.
Computerized records: Our tracking software knows and records exactly when the gates are opening and closing; whose code opened the gate and at what time; whose unit was opened and closed and when.
Electric eye beam: Our property is protected by an electronic beam around the perimeter. Any person trying to break in will set off the alarm.
Police response: The Madera Police Department has access to our facility at any time of the day or night should an alarm be reported.
Onsite management: Emergencies can be detected quickly due to onsite security.
